Cancer

The constellation of Cancer represents the giant crab that attacked Hercules during the second of his 12 labors. It was sent by the jealous goddess Hera to give Hercules a hard time as he battled the Hydra but he killed it with his club. According to legend she then placed it in the heavens to reward its futile attempts. The constellation is a Zodiac member, with the sun appearing to pass through it in late June and most of July. Here are helpful tips for identifying this celestial body.
